Under the slogan “So that orphans are not defeated,” a speech, song, and theater festival was held in Ib on the occasion of World Orphans Day.
A speech, singing, and theater festival was held in the province of Ibb on the occasion of World Orphans Day. It was organized by the Al-Rahma Foundation for Humanitarian Development in coordination with the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, under the slogan “So that orphans are not defeated.”
At the festival, which was attended by General Mobilization Officer Abdul Fattah Ghalab, the Secretary General of the Local Council in the governorate, Amin Al-Warafi, praised the humanitarian and charitable role played by the Al-Rahma Foundation and other institutions working to care for orphans. He emphasized that the local authority in the province attaches great importance to this segment of society and will do its utmost to provide for their basic needs and encourage initiatives, associations, and institutions that care for this important segment of society.
Al-Warafi urged all wealthy individuals, businessmen, and humanitarian organizations to provide support to this segment of society, as they are in dire need of all kinds of material, psychological, and moral support, especially in light of the difficult conditions the country is going through as a result of the aggression.
Al-Warafi pointed out the importance of implementing developmental and educational programs for orphans so that they can contribute to building the country. He emphasized that caring for orphans is a religious and humanitarian responsibility that must be fulfilled in order to earn reward and recompense from God Almighty.
For her part, Ruqaya Al-Hajri, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Rahma Foundation for Humanitarian Development, pointed out that this annual event serves as a reminder of orphans and the need to care for them and provide for their needs.
She explained that the foundation has an orphanage for boys and another for girls in the areas of Al-Sabil and Al-Sahoul, which house 200 orphans and provide them with educational, health, and shelter services.
The festival was attended by Majid Al-Tina, director of the Zakat Authority branch, Khalid Al-Salahi, engineer of the Executive Unit for Road Projects, and Colonel Khalid Anam, traffic officer. It featured performances and songs by the children of the Al-Rahma Foundation for Humanitarian Development in the province of Ibb.
